Technology innovations are creating new opportunities and challenges for sustainable development in Southeast Asia, a region with diverse cultures, economies, and environments.

However, these innovations also pose significant cyber security risks, as they increase the exposure and vulnerability of data, systems, and networks to malicious attacks. Cyber security is therefore a key factor for ensuring the safety, reliability, and resilience of technology innovations in Southeast Asia. To address this factor, there is a need for strengthening the cyber security capabilities and awareness of various stakeholders, such as governments, businesses, and consumers.

Moreover, there is a need for enhancing the cooperation and coordination among ASEAN Member States and other regional and global partners, to develop common standards, policies, and frameworks for cyber security.
